Conveniently located in the beautiful village of Drumnadrochit beside Loch Ness, you’ll find our booking office at the junction of the A82 and A831. Free parking is available at Nessieland, just turn onto the A831 to Cannich and you’ll see the entrance after approximately 50 metres.
Drumnadrochit is well connected by public transport, with regular bus services connecting us to Inverness and Fort William. The local bus company is called stagecoach and up to date times can be found on their website. Look out for the number 17, 917 and 919 bus lines.
We’re a small, family team here at Loch Ness Cruises. Mother and son, Julie and Mike Bell love to show off the famous Highland hospitality. You’ll meet Julie in her gift shop/ booking office where she’ll check you in and give you all the pre departure information. You’ll then meet Mike when you board his minibus, he’ll also take you out on the Nessie Hunter and tell you all the tales about Loch Ness. In their off time, Julie loves arts, crafts and gardening! Mike is a bit more adventurous, with travelling, scuba diving and mountaineering keeping him occupied.
Our booking office is located inside of Celtic Crafts Gift Shop, home to some of the finest crafts and gifts in Drumnadrochit. We’re proud to only stock gifts that are made in Scotland and over 50% of our stock is sourced from the local community of Glenurquhart. Whilst you wont find a stuffed Nessie on our shelves, we have a wide range of jewellery, woodcrafts, artisan toiletries, 100% natural candles, Harris tweed items and much more. With gifts for both men and women, young and old, we’re proud to show off the best of Scotland and showcase and support the incredibly talented artisans we have in our local area.
Loch Ness Cruises was founded in 1981 by George and Lenora Edwards, making us the longest operating cruise business in Drumnadrochit. George is a bit of a legend on Loch Ness, having over 20 confirmed sightings of Nessie! In 2016, he got his long standing friend Dave Bell to join him as a second skipper and started passing over decades of local knowledge and wisdom. When the Edwards decided to retire at the end of 2018, Dave decided to ask his wife Julie and son Mike to join him and in 2019, our family continued the tradition of keeping Loch Ness Cruises the only family owned and operated boat tour on Loch Ness. Since then, we’ve won numerous awards and have been described by guests and travel writers as the most informative and friendly boat on Loch Ness, which we’re immensely proud of. We have a 4 star Scottish tourist board quality rating and have held a Tripadvisor Certificate of excellence since 2013.
